FEB☆IPSYGLAMBAG

This is a little late in the month, I actually received my IPSY Glambag a day after I received my February Topbox.  Again, just thought that I would share with all the ladies who are still pondering about signing up for these glambags/boxes.  I have to say...I love receiving them every month >.< It's true what they say---it's Christmas EVERY month!! 

Without further ado, these are the items that I received with my February IPSY Glambag. 

1) LASH CARD - Lash cards

2) Coastal Scents - Sample eyeshadow pallette

3) PIXI - Flawless and Poreless face primer

4) MICABEAUTY - Black gel eyeliner 

5) POP Beauty - SMOKEY LASH KAPOW mascara

The lash cards are pretty handy, the instructions on the package recommends one time uses. The cards are all wrapped individually which is really nice, you know for sure that they're clean lol I like the idea...but I don't think it's really something that I would need to use... 

The Coastal Scents palette is a great size for traveling, plus the shadows apply quite nicely, they are very pigmented.  I don't stray too far away from my Naked palettes, so this was new to me. 

I didn't actually use this under my makeup, although I did squeeze some out on the back of my hand, and rubbed it around a bit. It feels pretty light, so I wouldn't prefer this primer.  I have been using Benefit's Porefessional primer recently and have been loving it.  I think Porefessional and Smashbox photofinish original primer works best for me, they are thicker than the Pixi one.  I think for girls with better skin, Pixi would make a great primer :) 

Mica gel liner, I tried it out of curiosity to see if it would pass the smudge test... and unfortunately it has failed :( I applied it before heading out for 4 hours... and by the time I got home, it had smudged.  For gel liners, I think I'll be sticking to Mac's Fluidline...it has been the best that I've tried. 

Overall...wasn't too crazy about this month's glambag... but so far, Ipsy has had some great items in previous glam bags...I'd like to keep my subscription for now and see what happens :) 

Onto the second part... I was at Save On Foods the other day picking up some items when I came across the NYX collection in the makeup section and everything was 20% off! So many ladies have raved about their jumbo eyeliner pencils, especially "Cottage Cheese." 

I have to say, that I love the texture of this pencil, the colour applies on really nicely.  I think it's beautiful!! Now the next question is...does it pass the smudge test?! 

Answer: Yes it did! Wore it for 12+hours and ...it WORKS. Did not smudge lol.  I am going back for the black one xD 

FEB☆TOPBOX

Ah February, the month of pink and reds, and warm fuzzy feelings... lol 

I wanted to share with my lady friends (and gentleman who are interested) this month's Topbox! (February 2013)

Topbox is a subscription service where you pay $12.00CAD a month and they send you 4-5 samples :) There were so many times when I had considered cancelling my subscription...I have two right now, one with Ipsy (Michelle Phan) and one at Topbox.  I never really do cancel them though...and it makes me think of how I had to wait for a subscription at Topbox @_@... yes...there is a waiting list to SUBSCRIBE... 

Apparently there was a survey that asked which box you would like to receive...the regular one or the Benefit prive box.  I remember doing the survey...but for some reason, I don't remember answering a question specifically... ah well, I'm pretty happy about the topbox that I received because it came with... the Deborah Lippmann - Ray of Light nail polish! Super ecstatic about that~ the rest of the items...I guess I'll come around to using them. lol

Comes with a little sponge, super cute.  I look forward to trying this out :) The cool thing about this, is that it can be applied either wet, or dry!

In the second part of this blog today, I thought that I would share pictures of the Urban Decay - Naked: Basics palette that I picked up in Vegas :) 

It was more of an impulse purchase...I thought that it would be a great palette to bring with me on shorter trips. I held of using it for a bit... beginning to regret my purchase... but on my trip to Victoria last weekend, I decided, why the heck not!? haha ~ 

And... it's such a great palette! I have all the colours that I need for my everyday eyeshadow 'look'... gosh it feels weird saying that...I don't really have a look lol I just slap things on... but anyways, to sum up, the palette does the trick, and is a lot less bulkier than the Naked palette. 

The only two colours that I haven't dipped into are Foxy and W.O.S. For some reason I tried swatching Foxy on my hand and it didn't show up @_@ Not sure what it'll do on my lid though lol I need to give that a shot!

CNY❤FAMILY

It has been quite the weekend, Chinese New Years and Family Day. I have to carry my stomach around...Super amazing food over the last three days... 
It's so sad to say that the weekend is over :( 

| V for Victoria |

I visited the island for a couple days over the weekend, had a blast!! 
Just had to take QQ with us for out a ride ~ hehe 

We got to stop by this great coffee shop in Uptown... I LOVE it there!! I wish the day didn't have to end so soon... :( I'd love to spend my weekends like this... 

Back at home, C and I had a little fun with QQ... lol

Why do I have so many? They were too cute not to post...I have so many more... jeebers lol

This...is a black forest that I would GLADLY get lost in... 
gosh... I loveeeee this black forest cake so much! (You can probably see in the birthday cake picture above that it's the same cake LOL) 
You can get this from Max's Deli & Bakery.  I love that they're 'bite sized,' and can be finished in one go, plus they are really fresh too. Carbs... gosh lol but so good...

January 31st 2013 marks the day that C and I share our 3rd year together... it was a day of 雙喜... because...it was also... *drumroll*, QQ's birthday!! 
We can't celebrate without cake, now can we? (It was nice, because we also got to make up for not being able to let C blow out the candles on his own birthday :( QQ had to share her cake with us, which she didn't mind all that much ^_^, well, she hasn't told me otherwise) 

I think this song that I recently re-discovered says it all... Destiny's Child - Brown Eyes.  I can't believe I didn't come across this song sooner... 

The lyrics really brought back lots of happy memories :)
