Puffy 3 Tone❥Grey Lenses

Hello!

I'm on FIRE - writing blog posts left and right tee hee.
After a long week - I felt super inspired after hours of browsing through Pinterest.
Plus - the boyfriend gifted me my birthday present early - Photoshop!  I miss Adobe so darn much!!

Anyhoo, I decided to try out a pair of circle lenses that I picked up from the Richmond Night Market this past summer - G&G Puffy 3 Tone in Grey. (I linked PinkyParadise, but didn't purchase my lens from them)

Here are some pics of the contacts:

Here's a picture of the contacts being worn (no flash)

REVIEW:

Affordability -
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ N/A
Can't say! I purchased them for a super affordable price, because the stand at the nightmarket was doing a great promo!

Feel -
     4.5/5
I wore them for about 5-6 hours, my first impression of them - comfortable. I didn't even feel them at first - but as the day progressed, my eyes started to dry up. Would have been fine if I had eye drops. The space for your pupils is a decent size - and won't blur your vision.

Overall -
★     4/5

These lenses are beautiful - although not 100% natural looking. They are super pigmented - and not as dolly-eye looking as say the Geo Nudy series. Like all circle lenses - they dry my eyes out progressively through the day. I would definitely consider re-purchasing these lenses for a cosplay - or even casually.

**please note I wasn't sponsored to write this post - I just wanted to share my own personal opinion about these lenses :)

Now... just for fun... I wanted to see if maybe these lenses would work for a future cosplay project that I have purchased materials for - but haven't started working on. I guess you can call this ... a makeup test ... sort of :P

Random - I need a haircut soon... should I dye my hair?

Goodnight

ANIME★REVOLUTION 2014

Fast forward to August - another highlight of this summer - ANIME REVOLUTION 2014! I hadn't been to a con in Vancouver since... 2009...

Being my second con of the year - I had originally intended on making a second cosplay (after fixing up my Summoner Yuna cos)

That... totally didn't happen- and fixing my Summoner Yuna ended up using a lot more of my time than I expected :-/ Ah well! At least my Summoner Yuna is actually finished now :)

Overall the con was super fun! Went for 2/3 days.
It was also nice having K^2 roam around hehe

Without further ado... a few pictures from the convention this year!

I really need to work on my photography skills... I can take decent pictures of food - but when it comes to portraits and cosplay shots... not so good.  I need some more practice - model, anyone? :3

I love attending conventions and seeing all this AMAZING craftsmanship that goes into these costumes - it's truly inspirational to be around it all.

After the con on the Saturday - we went to Santouka for some AMAZE ramen! (Even took my mummy & daddy there, and they loved it too!)

On our second day at AniRevo'14 - we walked over to Bella Gelateria
Can I just say, "NOM NOM NOM YUMMY!"

I had their green tea gelato... and I keep thinking about it... T_____T

Showing off my new keychain.

K^2 looking fabulous.

Lastly...

Unfortunately this is one of the only pictures that I determine decent of myself >.< I styled a wig for the first time - and it didn't stay in place... so whenever I went outside and the tiniest breeze hit my bangs... the whole thing would fall out of place ORZ

One of these days - I'm going to ask the bf to help me take some better pics XD

Ending off this post with:

Just bought tickets for AniRevo'15 ;)

TAIWAN台灣 ❥ 2014

Greetings!

Yes - yes I know it has been a LONG time since I last blogged.  I had actually intended on blogging about the trip to Taiwan with le bf - WHILE I was in Taiwan.  That totally did NOT happen.  We were there for 2 weeks and  most nights… I passed out either on the way home - or right after my shower and night routine... hahahahah We were always on the go!! But when we're visiting for just 2 weeks - we gotta see as much as we can with the time that we have!

The trip was marvellous - and I also had the chance to meet a bunch of wonderful people and eat a lot of delicious food :)

Without further ado - I'm adorning this post with some photos from our trip!
